Obsidian Rose Tattoo opened its doors on May 13, 2014 in Chestermere, Alberta. For owners Emma and Tim Ashman this is a long time dream come true. In the industry for about 12 years now, they knew right away that the eventual goal was to open their own tattoo shop. And finally that plan has come into fruition. Located In Chestermere, the tattoo shop has a very esthetically pleasing design. The front lobby/ consultation area boasts large windows along with leather couches and of course a Red Bull fridge (LOL). We are a family run shop that plans to change the stigma around the dreaded "tattoo shop" persona. We are different and we like that.

At the moment we have 4 artists in the shop and an up and coming apprentice which we are very excited to add to our shop family. Obsidian Rose prides itself on being up to date with all the latest health and tattooing procedures. All of our artists use fully disposable supplies. Every client gets a pre-sterilized and packaged needle and grip. All artists are up to date on their bloodborne pathogens courses, which we re-take every year.
