I’ve been tattooing since 2015, and the thing I’ve come to realize is that people just want to connect and be heard. They get tattoos to tell their story, when it may otherwise be difficult to explain with words. I often hear clients say that getting a tattoo is therapeutic for them. With each interaction, I have a unique opportunity to provide value, in more ways than to simply put art on someone’s skin. I try to give every client my undivided attention, whether it’s just to talk about life, or whether it’s to engage with them in brainstorming ideas for the subject at hand. As artists, we have the opportunity to place our perceptions of other people’s ideas, onto their bodies. We get to find new ways to create, to express, to find assurance, and to give assurance. While I’m proud of where I am today, I strive to continue my personal and professional growth and achieve my goals as an artist.
